We are excited to share a recent publication by our PhD candidate, Karis Colyer Patel! Her narrative review provides an in-depth update on what we know about the effects of heavy cannabis use and cannabis use disorder on the brain, based on the latest (f)MRI research.

The review highlights the importance of considering individual differences, such as age, sex, and co-use of substances like tobacco, when studying the impact of cannabis. It also emphasizes the need for further research to understand causality and the long-term effects of cannabis use.
